Unit price versus landed cost

We work with former smokers who order between a few hundred and a few thousand units at a time, and we treat both ends the same way: a written specification, a sample you approve, and a production run that matches the sample.

A landed cost sheet for THC vape has five lines: unit price, packaging, freight, duty and the cost of defects. Quoting only the first line is how buyers end up surprised at the fourth.

We publish a realistic band of 3.52 to 10.31 per unit for standard configurations at 120 units. Below that band you are buying a lighter specification; above it you are paying for finish, packaging or a smaller run.

Choosing the core line

The first question we ask is not what you want to spend. It is what your customer already buys. Answer that and the THC vape list writes itself; skip it and you end up with a pallet of stock that photographs well and sells badly.

A practical starting order for former smokers is 120 units across two or three SKUs, not 120 units of one. That spreads the risk, gives your staff something to compare, and still hits the first price break.

The reorder is the real test

For private label accounts we hold the artwork files and the approval record. Rebranding a line eighteen months later is then a file update instead of a redesign.

Returns are handled as data, not as complaints. Every reported failure is logged by mode and by batch, and the pattern is reviewed monthly with the factory.

Getting the documents right

If you sell into a market that requires child-resistant packaging, say so at quotation stage. Retrofitting a CR closure onto a finished bottle design usually means a new mould and a four week delay.

Labels are where good orders go wrong. Nicotine warnings, child-resistant closures, batch coding and market-specific text all have to be correct before the pallet leaves. We prepare test reports, declaration of conformity and safety data sheets for each shipment and we ask for your destination list early so artwork matches the market.
